If you are driving back from Lindau/Black Forest to Munich, I’d recommend you to take the Deutsche Alpenstrasse – a panoramic route stretching from the Bodensee (Lake Constance) to the Königssee showcasing some breathtaking views of the German Alps.

One highlight of this route is the Jochpass – a winding road through the mountains. If you enjoy curves, this one is for you… On the way you can stop by and take pictures of the surrounding countryside from some lookout points – one of them is called Kanzel, which overlooks the town of Bad Hindelang just before the starting point of the Jochpass (travelling west to east) and the surrounding mountains.

You can see the road (B308) leading through the town of Bad Hindelang and up in to the mountains. (July 2018)

A view of the Westallgäuer Alps and the town of Bad Oberdorf. The sweeping views of the surroundings is quite breathtaking, (July 2018).
