Here’s my entry for the Weekly Photo Challenge from 26th Sep. and the theme is Nighttime.

I often step out by myself at night for a walk, especially when I am travelling and in a new town/city, and take random pictures with my smartphone. We always talk about how a place looks so different at night… with all the shadows, the deserted streets, and the stillness.  I am a night owl and I love the night time for all the magic it offers.

This picture I took right after I completed the JP Morgan Chase run in Frankfurt (yes, I am feeling a bit nostalgic). That day marked the first time I could run the complete 5.6km uninterrupted and without having to limp back home with knees hurting like hell. And I had my name announced on the giantloudspeaker…yay!!

Anyways, I am digressing. Back to the photo – on my way back home, I saw the TV tower out there in the distance and was trying to get a good shot with my smartphone. This one came out probably the best, though unintentionally it makes the tower appear as if suspended from the night sky… like some kind of a chandelier. You can only just make out the faint outlines of the other structures…
