Weekly Photo Challenge: Rule of Thirds

Visiting the Familia Sagrada in Barcelona, I went up the towers (the Nativity facade) and enjoyed some stunning views of the city from the top. Sitting there in one of the cramped lookout points (really a one-man balcony) with my camera, I was about to leave when this pigeon came and landed nearby with all the daintiness, the grace of a lady… Look at the angle it is perched! Not often do I get to share the same space with the winged species at an altitude more familiar to them than to me.

This is my entry for the Weekly Photo Challenge of the 20th Feb. and the theme is the Rule of Thirds.

    • That’s a nice thought, Aai.. 🙂 And you might not be entirely wrong. I’ve always felt that the “level” at which you view the world around you makes a difference – whether you are at the top of the tower looking down at the world or sitting on the footpath and looking up at it. And it makes you think differently about the people who matter the most to you…

    • Wow…20 years ago! No, the basilica is still not completed. If I remember correctly, it is planned to be finished by 2026 – on the occasion of the centenary of Gaudi’s death.
