Having moved last December and with the weather getting better by the week, we’ve been exploring our new neighbourhood. It is quite different from being in the city itself – while the immediate neighbourhood now is also a bit of a concrete jungle, just about a 5-10 minutes walk brings us in to the fields and the countryside. Some impressions from one very memorable walk with Tuli last weekend – starting with a view of Frankfurt city (makes me nostalgic about our old home) from afar and ending with a glorious sunset over the Taunus (makes me happy about our new one). I don’t know where we’ll end up next, but we’re lucky, happy, and grateful for these beautiful surroundings we have now.
With the fields curving upwards gently, the horizon seems so near. Being a mountain person, I am so used to wider vistas. (May 2016)

The the left of the fence are the grazing grounds for horses – there is a equestrian school near by, so one comes across many horses grazing around. (May 2016)
