Overnight to Italy

A morning is always special when I know I am on the move … the last special morning was experienced in an overnight train from Munich to Rome. I started off from Munich at 21:08  – I got the last free seat in the train and the train attendant was a bit pissed because I think I ended up booking his favorite cabin at the last minute..he cursed in front of me when he saw my reservation.

Anyways – when I went off to sleep, the train was passing by the town of Woergl in Austria… when I woke up, I was passing through the sunny Tuscan countryside .. passing Florence at about 6:00 am and then Arezzo at about 7:20 am. The breakfast served on the train was an on top bonus – and then finally seeing my two nephews in Rome was priceless. A very special, memorable morning indeed!
