Prancing Horse of Stuttgart

I am in Stuttgart this weekend to attend the Fair Handeln 2014. Walking from the metro station to the exhibition center, I saw this piece of art. Anybody in to symbolism here?

I consider Stuttgart as my “second” home (now probably as “third” – after Frankfurt) – its where I did my masters, got my first work experience in Germany, and have one of my best friends living in the nearby town of Tuebingen. The name of the city is derived from “Stute” (German for mare) and “Garten” (German for garden/farm). The city was originally a stud farm for the royal family.  Its coat of arms, thus, bears a black prancing horse on a yellow background. This artful depiction just had to be clicked.

So, it feels like coming home…
