Villa Balbianello on Lago di Como is a most enchanting place and a must-see if you are in that part of the country. I have very fond memories from two trips to the lake – the last one being in June 2013.

Its not a surprise how we associate places with people in our lives…and the nature of our relationships with them. Como, apart from being simply, stunningly beautiful, is the hometown of one of my best friends – very special people; they accompanied us both the times and the place probably just reflects the warmth of this friendship. I feel like I could escape there for a break any number of times…any time.
