Weekly Photo Challenge: Dialogue

Here’s my entry for the Weekly Photo Challenge and the theme is DialogueThis theme is a tough one, since I am not very good with abstracts. That’s why it’s great to work on this challenge – I had to stretch my creativity and imagination a bit. So, here’s the story of the two pictures below.

If they could talk, the dialogue would be over the essence and meaning of love. In the left picture, LIEBE is German for love – dull, rusty, but solid, defying the natural elements. The right picture is a pod-shaped copper tea-light holder – photographed from a certain angle suggests a heart aflame – passionate, fiery, but self-consuming and easily extinguished.

Which version of love is more genuine? Is one version nobler than the other? As in any such discussion, there isn’t any winning argument – just an exchange of perspectives.
