Arriving in Munich

26th August – last day at my old company. I got some samosas and croissants for a small farewell breakfast. Everyone was very genuine with their best wishes and very generous with their farewell gifts. For that, I really thank them all and sure hope to see some of them again (more on that in a separate post – as I moved, I have not been able to carry everything at once and will need time to put that together). Well, 26th August 2014 also happened to be the 12th anniversary of my arrival in Stuttgart, Germany.

31st August – I travelled to Munich by train with a suitcase, a rucksack, and a shoulder bag. I think it has most of the things I need, but just I might need to make another trip to really secure all the essentials – especially those few things I am sentimentally attached to. I have also left my camera behind for now, so I am depending on my stout little smartphone to help capture the memories. I am in a service apartment for now close to Viktualienmarkt. I have found an studio apartment close to Rosenheimer Platz and will be moving there next week.

An update will follow over the next few days of my first impressions of Munich… For now, I leave you with these pictures.
