I saw a picture of Schloß Neuschwanstein he had posted on Facebook on Sunday. I sent a casual message to see if he was still in or around Munich. He wrote back saying he was, but he thought I was in Frankfurt. Now that I was in Munich…

And in this almost casual and serendipitous manner, I met an old school friend (for the first time after 2002) within a week of me moving to a new city, Munich. I met his better half and his adorable little daughter…
