Impressions captured cycling on the way to Seligenstadt.
From Frankfurt, we started in Sachsenhausen and cycled towards Goetheturm (Goethe Tower), one of the old watchtowers in the woods to the south. (May 2015)
From the Goetheturm, we followed the trail through the Stadtwald towards Heusenstamm. (May 2015)
The sky clouded a bit as we stopped in midst of the fields right outside Heusenstamm for a lunch of packed sandwiches – the fields seem to be a cover of green velvet (May 2015)
Emerging from the forest trail, it was refreshing to feel the wind in the face and be in the open with nothing really blocking the view till the horizon. (May 2015).
.. and in the fields stretching out till the horizon, one would see a single red flower stand out with its colour. (May 2015)
We finally reached Seligenstadt, where I saw this half-timbered house at a street corner – with my imagination, it seemed to me as if someone cut through the house with a gigantic knife and removed the right half to make space for the street. (May 2015).
A “loveseat” carved out of a block of wood on our way back to Frankfurt along the river Main (May 2015)
