The Lüftlmalerei refer to the murals found on buildings in the small towns and villages of the Bavarian highlands and Tirol. Most of them have a biblical theme, but there are many that simply showcase life in the countryside or hunting scenes. During the visit to Mittenwald over the May 1st weekend, I saw some vivid examples of this beautiful art. which I share with you here. Some are very simple and yet eye-catching. Others very intricate, very exquisite. But each part of a memory worth putting down here.
